Step One - Assessing Your Rural Location
To be eligible for a Medicare Rebate for appointments with us, you must reside in a rural or remote area of Australia.
Please go to this webpage and follow the steps below to check your eligibility.
1 - Under 'Classification Filter' select the Modified Monash Model '2019' checkbox
2 - Click the 'Find Address' button to open the address search bar.
3 - Begin typing your full residential address (as registered with Medicare) in the box that appears and select the correct address that appears.
4 - The map will display your address in a colour coded area indicating your MMM region. To be eligible you must be in MMM regions: 4 (dark blue), 5 (bright green), 6 (light blue) or 7 (pale yellow).
If you have any trouble working out which MMM region you live in, please do not hesitate to contact our admin team on 1800 HELP 2 U (1800 435 728), via email to help@ruralhelp.com.au or through our Contact Us form.
If you are eligible, please make sure that you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your doctor BEFORE your first appointment, or you will not be able to claim your rebate from Medicare.

Not Eligible? We can still provide services
Private Clients
Yes, we can still provide services to you if you are not in an eligible service area, however these services are considered 'Private' and are therefore ineligible for a Medicare rebate. However, if you have Private Health Insurance your therapy may be eligible for claiming with your fund.
Our psychologists are all experts in their field, so let us know what your issues are and we will find you the best member of our psychology team to assist in resolving your concerns.


24 Hour Cancellation Policy
A confirmation sms will still be sent to you the day before your appointment.
It is requested that you reply ‘yes’ to this sms to confirm your appointment or log into the online booking system to cancel or reschedule.
To cancel or reschedule your appointment without charge, you need to give us a minimum of 24 hours notice. This allows us the opportunity to try to fill your appointment from our internal waitlist, if possible.
If you confirm your appointment and don’t show up at your scheduled time, the full fee will become payable, as we will be unable fill your appointment.
